How To Find Us

By car

Stanton House is easily accessible by car from the M40.

From London and the east, take the A40 (junction 8) to the Headington roundabout complex keeping to a centre lane marked Barton. Take the exit signposted Stanton St John, go slowly through Barton (beware of the speed bumps) and continue across the mini roundabout, past the Crematorium to the T-junction where you should turn right onto the B4027 as far as Stanton St John.  Take the first left immediately after the Stanton St John sign,  into Pound Lane (Rectory Farm is on the corner of this road) and continue carefully to the bend in the road. On your right is a row of terraced cottages but you need to turn left on the bend onto the track called Snows Lane.  Follow the track and the signs to  Stanton House.

From the north, take the A34 (junction 9), turn off at the B4027 (sign-posted Islip), drive through Islip to Stanton St John.  Take the first left immediately after the Stanton St John sign, into Pound Lane (Rectory Farm is on the corner of this road) and continue carefully to the bend in the road. On your right is a row of terraced cottages but you need to turn left on the bend onto the track called Snows Lane.  Follow the track and the signs to  Stanton House.

From the south (A34) you can either stay on the A34 to the Islip turning and follow the instructions above, or as if travelling from the west (A40) follow the Oxford Ring Road to the Headington Roundabout, then follow the directions given above.

By coach

From London take the Oxford Tube coach service from outside Victoria Station or Marble Arch (or other stops at Notting Hill, Shepherd’s Bush).

Disembark at Thornhill Park and Ride, and from there ring for a taxi. There are a number of taxi firms you can use, for example,  Royal Cars 01865 777333 or 001 Taxis – 01865 240000.

Airport Express coaches also run regularly to Oxford from Heathrow and Gatwick.

By train

By train, Oxford Central Station is well connected with many other cities – London Paddington, Marylebone, West Ealing, Ealing Broadway, Reading, Birmingham, etc. From Oxford Central Station to Stanton House you will either need to get a taxi or you can catch a bus from outside Oxford Central Station to Headington, or Thornhill Park and Ride (No 400) and ring from there for a taxi. There are many firms you could use, such as Royal Cars 01865 777333 or 001 Taxis 01865 240000.
